With a strong, wide-ranging skillset, Russell joins us equipped with 20 years’ experience in the industry. From working as crew to owning and operating an independent rigging business for over a decade, he has built a long-standing working relationship with RigPro—completing refits, new builds, and repairs alongside our team of service professionals on projects like Hetairos and My Song.

His 250k+Nm and years of inshore and offshore racing with some of the world’s most eminent Yachts and Superyachts – including Sydney to Hobarts, Caribbean 600s, Middle Sea Races, Fastnets, and Transatlantic races – make him a fantastic asset to the team. Continuing his face-to-face work with members of the industry he’ll be assisting in all areas of RigPro’s service offering.

Fabrizio Joined RigPro in 2021, at the end of 36th America’s Cup that he did with Luna Rossa as rigger.

He has more than 12 years of experience in rigging service and projects including planned service, repairs, and emergency jobs.

Fabrizio started his career in the sailing world in 1999, after 9 years of racing in dinghy class, he started to work as a junior rigger and sailor on racing boats. Later he was project manager and boat captain in winning yachts in a variety of sailing classes.

Since 2009 he has focussed on rigging serviced including running rigging, rigs and rigging service and rigs commissioning. He has worked as Senior Rigger and shore crew in both TP 52 and Super Yacht.

Fabrizio is still an active professional sailor in both superyachts and GP and regularly attend the major sailing events and races. He is always available to provide technical support to all the yachts that work with RigPro.

Matt Lyon

Matt joined RP in 2020 as Project Manager/Senior technician. With over 20 years’ experience in the marine industry, Matt brings a wealth of resource from the Boatbuilding, Composites, Rigging and Engineering professions. Having spent time at Future Fibres building VO 70 race rigs, he has an in-depth knowledge of composite mast production. Matt brings Management and production skills from time working at Magma Structures Building and delivering the world’s largest masts, working as Senior team leader in Quality Assurance and General workshop management. Matt then went on to carry out all rig inspection, service and repair works on SYA and Black Pearl since commissioning, and continues now as the RigPro Account Manager for the Freestanding mast projects. He has also carried out Build Management and consultancy work for prototype composites projects at the university of Strathclyde’s Lightweight Manufacturing Centre. Matt has an Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and is a dual Australian/UK Citizen.

Jamie Webster

Jamie joined the RigPro Europe team in 2020 as an Assistant Project Manager. Having grown up sailing and gone on to work as engineer on prestigious sailing superyachts, Jamie is well equipped to understand our clients needs. His knowledge of superyacht systems means he is able to assist in offering a well-integrated approach to yacht service

Declan Clamp

Declan joined Rig Pro in late 2020. Having been involved in mast and rigging service work for the last 10 years he has now joined Rig Pro as a Assistant Project Manager. Roles including Rig master on Black Peal and Sales for Marlow ropes give Declan a excellent understanding of freestanding rigs and running rigging requirements.

David Bastos

Assistant Project Manager

David joined RigPro Palma on 2019 to help with the management of projects. He is a naval architect and marine engineer, and he has experience on the yacht industry. Prior to joining RigPro, he worked as project manager in Palma for a yacht repair and refit yard. He speaks Spanish and English.

Nigel Hawke

Nigel joined RigPro in 2006

He has over 30 years of experience in the yachting industry.

Shortly after leaving school he worked on boats from 30 feet to 70 feet. He then worked at Southern Spars gaining an in-depth and extensive knowledge across all areas of production including components, spreaders, booms and mast assembly

Nigel is responsible for refits of superyacht rigs and new builds, including complex carbon modifications and repairs.

Nigel manages the RigPro NZ apprenticeship program and assists the next generation of young riggers to develop their full potential as professional riggers.

Josh Pearl

Josh joined RigPro in 2017.

He has over 10 years’ experience in the boatbuilding industry where he qualified in wooden and composite boatbuilding. He joined Southern Spars in 2010 as a composite engineer where he led their pre-preg lamination team, gaining invaluable knowledge of all of our customised products.

Josh provides our customers with world class professional service.

Agustin joined RigPro Valencia in 2016 and is responsible for managing projects and customer requirements in accordance with expectations. As a passionate sailor, Agustin brings an intimate technical on-the-water knowledge skillset to the business to maximise service solutions customers can benefit from to guarantee optimal performance of their rigging products.
